YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au9Aqd_-2hc

This factual and informational documentary provides the modern audience with an unbiased insight of the Saudi Arabia Kingdom. The documentary takes place in Hail within Saudi Arabia, which is governed by Prince Saud Bin Abdul Mohsen. He is one of the members of the Saudi royal family. In the documentary the crew is given unique access to follow and film the prince, where no western crew has ever filmed inside Saudi Arabia for 26 years. The prince shares his views about the western world getting to the people. He says, “You can only change people as much as they want to be changed” and concludes that people in Saudi Arabia do not want to be westernised  The documentary takes a twist when the crew talks to some of the citizens about how they feel about the strict laws and Islamic traditions of keeping the women aside. The citizens expressed different views then of the prince, which made the documentary an effective insight. It shows the battle of two different worlds where digital technology and modernisation make it hard for the prince to maintain laws and Islamic traditions.

Sitcom Mashup Rap; The Wrestler and Nightmare on Elm Street

Yo Yo my name is Ram,

Don’t mess with me,

Or I’ll hit you, bam!

I love to wrestle

And I love to fight,

If I don’t like your attitude

Ima munch you, Bite!

I know the last match I did

I lost it,

But it doesn’t mean im bad

Or I suck at it,

I think I’m too old now

I should retire,

Move out

Before I expire,

Now I’m off to meet my daughter

Her name is Nancy,

She is 18 years old and super fancy

You better watch this series

And if you don’t

Ima kick you’re a*s!

The sitcom Big Bang Theory targets a variety of audience. The commercials in between segments aim at mature couples and middle class families. There are commercials like Ford Escape SUV, Sick Kids Lottery and Canada’s Economic Plan that incorporate mature characters both male and female. Almost all the commercials that were aired through the whole episode shared a common idea of everyday family needs, money and relation between couples.

This episode of Big Bang Theory revolved around Penny. She was the main character as she drove the plot forward. Her Goal was to lead her dad to believe that she and Leonard were back together because her father only approved of Leonard and made him happy. Penny asks Leonard to play along till her father leaves. Leonard follows along but has too much fun with it and Penny starts to dislike it. Before taking it too far she decides to tell her father the truth about the whole fake relation. Her father gets a little angry about it and after sending her off the room he motivates Leonard to keep at it with Penny. The theme of this episode was parental control.

GHOST RIDER to ICED FRENCH COPPOLA

Image

Shockingly a rumor spread that our Ghost Rider is about to walk the streets, because he has gone broke. Yes, I’m talking about Nicolas Kim Coppola known better as Nicolas Cage. He has suffered from lawsuits against him. Various career changes like Actor, Producer to Director, and now he has decided to go into the world of music and start a career in rapping. Being a rapper is not as easy as it sounds. It involves being a big bad thug with lots of money, cars and girls with big assets. I don’t know how well this is all going to treat our Ghost Rider because he is short on money, got no cars and girls, well they follow the money. News say that he is going to feature the labels with the stage name Iced French Coppola. An update also came in saying his first album will be called Self Made Coppola featuring some of his best verses.

“yo I got no money now, that’s sad,

they call me iced coppola, im bad,

new in this rap game, fresh

sip on the french vanilla , refresh”

The Mask 1994 – Review

Image

The movie “The Mask” starring Jim Carrey, directed by Chuck Russel and was released in 1994. The movie is a fantasy comedy, which it also holds on to throughout the entire duration. It also features some action which kept me interested into it as well. The movie has some parts where it feels it was a bit of over acting but the comedy factor takes over it and makes you forget about the weird acting. I like the fiction storyline and the comic characters. The storyline is based on a fiction novel but it has events similar to reality. The life of Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey) shares problems similar to a common working man’s lifestyle. The characters like the masked Stanley and dog also contribute into making this movie a worthwhile entertainment. I did not like the part where the bad guy gets the mask and turns himself into the masked version of himself. It brings violence into the story and diverts the movie from a comedy to an action/violence. The movie holds up to its title “The Mask” and its genre. The actors and the script bring it alive, according to the box office statistics the movie was a great success in the year of 1994. Overall the movie is funny and features a lot of parts full of laughter.
